Position Overview:
Join Valley Children’s Healthcare in a rewarding Pediatric RN role within our specialized Respiratory unit. This position caters to young patients who may require ventilator support, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pediatric health and recovery. The night shift schedule provides a consistent work routine with overnight hours, tailored for dedicated and compassionate nurses eager to provide expert care for children in need.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients with respiratory conditions, including ventilator management and monitoring vital signs
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatments, adjusting interventions as necessary
• Educate families on care procedures and post-discharge care plans
• Document patient care accurately and adhere to hospital protocols and policies
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for young patients and their families
What You Bring:
• Proven experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a respiratory care setting
• Strong clinical skills in ventilator management and pediatric advanced life support
• Compassionate bedside manner with a focus on family-centered care
• Ability to work efficiently during overnight shifts and handle high-acuity cases
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
Education & Experience:
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric RN experience, with experience in respiratory therapy or ICU settings considered an asset
• Experience with ventilator management and pediatric respiratory care
