PositionSummary
The ICU Department Supervisor is an experienced Registered Nurse who provides leadership, clinical expertise, and operational oversight for the ICU Unit. Will supervise department personnel on a daily basis, ensuring that productive, cost effective, quality patient care is delivered, and the department meets performance improvement goals. Will serve as a clinical expert, supporting staff and ensuring adherence to protocols for critical care.
Facilitates education and professional growth for ICU staff. Reports to the Manager of ICU and ED.
- Requires Current California Registered Nurse license.
- Current American Heart Association BCLS certification.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- Prefer Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) National Certification.
- Basic Arrhythmia Course Certificate.
- Requires 3-5 years of ICU Clinical Experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or charge nurse role.
- Leadership experience, with strong written and verbal communication and computer skills required.
- Demonstrated organizational, planning, leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to develop and foster teamwork among co-workers and physicians
