Base Pay Range

$23.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment, utilizing commercial HVAC skills and tools. The role supports repair of large‑scale rack refrigeration and other refrigeration units.

• Maintain and repair facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment, using hand, digital, and power tools.
• Use work order system to receive repair orders and document activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training for equipment and tool safety.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations per safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 lbs, work on ladders, and work frequently at heights.

• 2+ years experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 18 years or older and high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years mechanical/maintenance or 4 years in a related field.

• Completion of a 2‑year HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city/state of work location.
