We are seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Test Technician to work directly in our Madison Heights lab, providing robust testing services to external customers. Our expanding laboratory offers testing and engineering services to manufacturers and key suppliers in transportation, automotive, defense, and industrial sectors.
The role involves performing standard and non-standard test projects within the laboratory, ensuring timely and accurate results under supervision as needed.
Responsibilities include preparing, setting up, testing, evaluating, and monitoring samples or parts according to SOPs, standards, and client instructions to meet client and regulatory requirements. Set-ups include pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic systems, electro-dynamic shakers, environmental chambers, and controllers.
Build and dismantle simple test fixtures, complete worksheets/logbooks for traceability, maintain equipment calibration, and ensure compliance with quality manuals and instructions.
Provide updates to supervisors on test status, maintain and repair testing equipment, assist in generating technical reports and certificates, and keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
The role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and daily.
