Customer Service Manager – Madison Heights, Michigan
Ionbond is seeking a dynamic and energetic leader to join our team in a fast-paced, industrial environment. The role focuses on delivering top-tier service by collaborating with plant management and sales to ensure a superior customer experience. This position reports to the Plant Manager at the Madison Heights Coating Center and supports operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Lead the Shipping and Receiving/Delivery personnel, including training, coaching, and employee development.
- Build and retain customer relationships by providing excellent service related to ordering, pricing, delivery, etc., and respond to routine questions.
- Oversee and participate in department functions to ensure proper coating specifications, purchase orders, and special instructions accompany incoming and outgoing orders.
- Establish production schedules; monitor status of customers’ orders and expected shipping dates; alert local team to issues impacting service.
- Liaise with Sales Managers, Production Management, and Regional Staff to ensure proactive and clear communication with current and prospective customers.
- Collaborate with management to develop continuous improvement initiatives and 5S in the facility, maintaining a safe and organized work area per corporate safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Degree from an accredited college (preferred);
High School diploma required - Five+ years’ experience in industrial/manufacturing with technical sales and/or customer service
- Five+ years’ experience in team management/leadership
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic office tools
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to work core business hours on-site
- High energy and professionalism
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States, undergo background checks, and pass a pre-placement physical
