Job SummaryThe Project Manager will work as part of the project management and pre‑sales team and will oversee all activities for distributors and territories, order entry, delivery date coordination, installation coordination, and punch list resolution. This is an onsite position, based in Madison Heights, MI, and requires physical presence in the office. You will interact with architects, site project managers, contractors, purchasing agents, end users, Mopec distributors, sales representatives, and internal contacts.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead and oversee 50+ projects from initiation to closure, handling quote preparation, order entry, delivery coordination, installation, and resolution of any issues.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Interact daily with architects, site project managers, contractors, purchasing agents, end users, and sales reps.
- Identify project risks to address potential issues that may impact delivery.
- Monitor progress, track key milestones, and provide regular updates to stakeholders, addressing all deviations.
- Conduct post‑project reviews to evaluate performance, identify lessons learned, and implement improvements for future projects.
- Create and revise quotes for customers and sales representatives.
- Enter orders with required details and attachments to meet customer specifications.
- Follow up on drawings for customized and modified orders.
- Collaborate with the installation manager to schedule installations and communicate dates to customers.
- Collaborate with the production team for order scheduling and date revisions.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
- Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner.
- Physical presence on the job is essential, including weekends and holidays if deemed necessary by the company.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Project Management certification or bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong leadership ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive execution.
- Experience with Visual (a plus).
- Knowledge of Hub Spot desired.
- Proficiency in multiple ERP systems, including project management tools and software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
