Responsibilities

Sr. Controls Software Engineer – Direct Hire

• Creating and commissioning industrial controls systems, PLC software design, and HMI screens
• Responsible for PLC/HMI code development, code installation, debug on job site, and commissioning of the complete system
• Responsible for controls systems design, programming, testing, and troubleshooting
• Will work with cross‑functional teams to solve equipment and customer issues
• Debug and commission 840D controls system in motion control application
• Cell debug on shop floor and during install full time at customer location
• Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally

• XXXX+ years of Controls Engineering/PLC/HMI programming experience
• The ability to program/write code/ladder logic from scratch
• Prior experience with automotive manufacturing integration and commissioning
• Prior experience programming within customer‑defined standards and templates
• Proficient with a variety of field bus networks including but not limited to Ethernet I/P, Profibus, Profi Net, etc. (plus)

• Non‑Global Common Controls (Siemens)

• Siemens Step 7
• Siemens 840D Motion control (non‑CNC applications)
• Siemens TIA Portal
• Siemens Sinumerik One
• Fanuc Robotics

• Rockwell/Allen Bradley
• Robotics:
  Kuka, ABB

• Engineering Degree not required
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to effectively manage time
• Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently without much supervision
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job
