Job DescriptionThe Compliance Underwriter is responsible for conducting compliance reviews within the TRID 3.0 and TRID 1.0 scopes to ensure adherence to federal and state regulatory requirements and guidelines. This role involves compliance underwriting, due diligence, portfolio analysis, and various compliance review projects. As a Transactional Employee, you will work on an 'as needed' basis with potential variability in work hours depending on client needs.
Responsibilities- Review and analyze loan data from mortgage documents, including Mortgage, Note, Right of Rescission, Loan Estimate, Closing Disclosure, Good Faith Estimate, 1003, and appraisal.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy in reviewing Hud-1, Closing Disclosures, Loan Estimates, TIL, and other mortgage disclosures.
- Capture settlement fees for state and federal testing.
- Identify potential issues in the underwriting administrative process and compliance irregularities within the loan file.
- Manage personal workflow to meet daily volume and quality targets.
- Evaluate the disclosure process, ensuring proper delivery, timing, verbiage, and completeness of all State and Federal documentation.
- Proficient in reviewing TRID loans originated Post 10/3/2015, with the approved 1.0 Scope and/or 3.0 Scope.
- Strong knowledge of TRID Documents.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate/Technical Degree preferred. - 1‑3 years of experience in any area of the residential mortgage industry with familiarity with mortgage origination documents.
- Experience in compliance reviews preferred.
- Commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
- Ability to prioritize multiple objectives to meet client deadlines and department goals.

Permanent position based out of Madison Heights, MI.
Pay & BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49,920.00 - $64,480.00/yr.
