Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Overview:
Talent line Services is seeking a skilled Motor Repair Technician to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding a variety of electric motors, including AC, DC, and servo motors. This technician must be mechanically inclined and comfortable working in a production repair environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble AC, DC, and servo motors
Diagnose issues such as worn bearings, electrical faults, or mechanical imbalances
Replace or repair defective parts including bearings, shafts, seals, windings, and encoders
Use specialized tools and test equipment to measure tolerances, insulation resistance, and rotor balance
Perform final functional testing to ensure motors meet OEM specifications
Maintain accurate repair records, tagging, and documentation
Follow safety procedures, cleanliness standards, and ESD protection practices
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in electric motor repair, preferably in an industrial setting
Knowledge of common motor components and their functions (rotors, stators, brushes, commutators, etc.)
Experience with both mechanical and electrical diagnostics
Ability to use micrometers, calipers, megohmmeters, and vibration/balance testing tools
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus
