ProtoTRAK Lathe Machinist

We’re hiring a CNC lathe operator for our 2nd shift. You’ll be responsible for running production parts on twin-spindle and Swiss-type lathes, keeping machines running smoothly, and maintaining part quality.

This is a steady, full-time position on a four 10-hour day schedule with long weekends.

• Load and run twin-spindle and Swiss-type CNC lathes according to setup sheets and job instructions
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
• Monitor tool wear and make minor offset adjustments when needed
• Keep machines and work areas clean and organized
• Accurately record part counts and inspection results
• Communicate issues or quality concerns to the lead machinist or setup tech

• 1–3 years of CNC lathe operating experience (twin-spindle or Swiss preferred)
• Ability to read basic blueprints and understand part tolerances
• Familiarity with common inspection tools and basic machine offsets
• Reliable, consistent, and detail-oriented work habits
• Experience with Fanuc or Citizen controls a plus

• Shift: Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM (four 10-hour shifts)
• Pay:
  Based on experience and capability
