Warren Averett Recruiting is partnering with a client seeking an experienced Controller to join their team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee a broad range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Cash Management. The Controller will play a key role in preparing monthly operating and cost reports, managing daily accounting activities, and developing comprehensive reporting packages to support strategic decision-making.

• Monthly Reporting:
  Prepare and analyze operating and cost accounting reports, including raw material usage, journal entries, account reconciliations, CIP, and Fixed Asset recording.
• Daily Operations:
  Oversee accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and create reporting packages for leadership.
• Process Improvement:
  Contribute to safety initiatives, process improvement teams, and special projects as assigned by the CFO.
• Costing & Closings:
  Maintain costing records and spreadsheets, ensuring accurate monthly journal entries and closings.
• Budgeting & Audit:
  Develop annual budgets and manage the annual financial audit process.
• Inventory Control:
  Verify inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

• Strong computer hardware/software skills preferred.
• Complete all required training as determined by management and regulatory standards.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 10 years in a similar or related role, with a strong background in cost accounting.

  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in accounting systems, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
• Leadership:
  Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across departments.
