To achieve our goal of WOW Every Customer, Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Estimator In Training to work closely with our Estimator to learn how to diagnose and prepare accurate, thorough, and profitable estimates for repair. The apprentice will also communicate the value we provide, driving a high closed sales ratio.

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Greet customer at repair drop‑off and build rapport.
• Map damage with customer (previous, current loss, WOW opportunities).
• Handle repair mapping and take initial photographs.
• Upload photos and notes to CCC One, along with arrival time and other details.
• Notify production of vehicle arrival and place it in the production queue; verify estimate during teardown.
• Finalize estimate using proper Repair Planning Template.
• Work with repair team to ensure correct and complete notations on windshield and assemble final parts list.
• Use Promise Date Calculator to set promise date; call customer to review estimate and promise date.
• Update customer regularly according to management’s standards.
• Participate in and contribute to regular production meetings.
• Call customers whose cars will be completed the next day and schedule with the customer.
• Follow up with technicians after vehicle teardown and adjust estimate if needed.
• Assist insurance adjusters with damage reports and provide service to insurance claim re‑inspectors.

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Must possess or complete 16 I‑CAR units within the first 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4‑6 years related work experience; photo‑imaging software experience preferred.

• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft products preferred.
• Good decision‑making ability and sound judgment.

• Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel and crouch to provide an accurate estimate of vehicle damage.
• Must possess clear vision to accurately assess vehicle damage.

$17 – $25 per hour, commensurate with skill, education and experience. This position may also be eligible for bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
