This health system facility maintains the clinical infrastructure and established protocols necessary to support inpatient gastroenterology locum tenens coverage. The facility is structured to ensure continuity of specialized care for an adult patient population, with APP support and physician colleagues available to assist with clinical operations during periods of elevated census. The facility supports a collaborative team model in which additional coverage resources are engaged when inpatient procedure and consult volume requires it.

This region offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and recreational activities, including water-based recreation, cultural attractions, and historical sites. Dining, live music venues, and local culinary options are available throughout the area, providing a well-rounded experience for clinicians during time away from clinical responsibilities. The region also features year-round activities suitable for families and individuals alike.

The gastroenterologist will provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage on a 24-hour shift basis, Monday through Sunday, at this on-site facility. Clinical responsibilities include rounding, managing inpatient consults averaging 16-20 per day, and performing procedure add-ons ranging from 6-10 per day depending on census, with a total service census of 30-40 patients  APP is assigned to work alongside the physician daily from approximately 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, typically seeing patients first before coordinating with the physician;

additional physician colleagues and APP coverage are available to assist with procedures and consults when inpatient volume is elevated. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment for all 7 days of the shift.

• Case Load/PPD: IP consults: 16-20 per day; total service census: 30-40; procedures: 6-10 per day
