Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Estimator to join our CNC machining team. This role is responsible for analyzing customer prints, models, and specifications to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for machined components and assemblies. The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance precision with efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Analyze customer prints, models, and specifications.
- Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for machined components and assemblies.
- Utilize estimating software to create bids and estimates.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure the precision and efficiency of estimates.
- 5‑15+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and bidding.
- Experience with estimation software, particularly Fulcrum estimating software.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, aerospace, and defense sectors.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with sam.gov/govwin is a plus for pricing A&D work.
The position is onsite in Madison, AL, within a small team of 15-20 people, including engineers, office staff, and machinists. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a 1‑hour lunch break. While rare, there might be occasions where work is required on Fridays. The team offers a flexible work environment with exposure to the production floor, rather than being confined to a desk all the time.
Benefits include one week of PTO, 30 hours of sick leave, and an increase to two weeks of PTO after five years. Health insurance is provided through BCBS with employer contributions.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, AL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
