• Prepare blood and blood products.
• Perform the lab audit process which includes the quarantine, release and disposal of blood products based on disease testing results.
• Filter blood using dockable filters to provide leuko‑reduced products.
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of instruments and department.
• Data processing and input.
• Label all available apheresis products and quarantine/discard products as necessary.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and meet Life South driver eligibility requirements.
• Must be able to work evenings, rotating weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work consistently in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to operate equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions observed in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, proportions, percentages and scientific notation.
• Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), stooping, squatting, and repetitive motion.
• Experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
