Griffon Aerospace, a leader in the exciting Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) industry, is seeking a talented System Administrator. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating system, software, and hardware
- Monitor system performance to improve availability and reliability
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and server maintenance tasks to enhance system security and functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Perform backup and recovery operations at regular intervals using Veeam Backup & Replication (configuration, monitoring, and management)
- Utilize ITIL-based processes to capture tasks and obtain approvals
- Develop and maintain documentation of system and network configurations
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users
- Support network design, configuration, and ongoing network infrastructure management (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Administer hybrid Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Azure Active Directory
- Utilization of an RMS platform for remote maintenance or end user support
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content), or 8 years of experience in lieu of education
- Minimum of 5 years of system administration experience in any size environment
- Foundational understanding of UNIX and Windows systems
- Core understanding of networking (e.g., routing, switching, protocols, and basic network security)
- 3-5 years of system administration experience supporting Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS) requirements
- Experience administering hybrid Microsoft 365 environments
- Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication for backup and disaster recovery planning
- Experience in network engineering tasks such as design, implementation, and support of enterprise networks
- Experience in server patching and maintenance best practices
- Experience working with ITIL Service Transition and Operation processes, such as Change Management and Incident Management
- Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Git Hub)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong presentation, and effective communication
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently when required
- Experience in Agile environments
- Experience working in Cloud Dev Ops environments, such as Azure Dev Ops
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops principles and DoD compliance policies
- IAT II certification required (e.g., Security+, Cloud+) or obtained within 6 months of hire date
