Shift DetailsWork Schedule:
Friday‑Sunday, 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Unload inbound trucks, verify numbers and quantities, and stack boxes onto specific pallet patterns.
- Drive a forklift and locate pallets into racks.
- Work between Covington and Madison plants as needed.
- Exercise safe lifting techniques when bending, lifting, and turning.
- Accept materials for ethylene oxide sterilization.
- Verify catalog numbers, lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates.
- Complete JD Edwards transactions using IBM Data Collection scanners.
- Assemble and build sterilization loads according to defined palatalization diagrams.
- Place Biological Indicators (BI spores) into the sterilization load.
- Initiate sterilization load record documentation.
- Locate materials into pallet/BIN locations.
- Operate inventory control system, where applicable.
- Maintain an acceptable work area as outlined per procedure and Quality System Regulations.
- Certified to operate a forklift and manual or automatic hand truck; must pass Lift Drivers Test.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents and operational procedures/specifications.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from the supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2‑3 years of experience operating all material handling equipment, especially a stand‑up fork truck (preferred).
- Good oral and written communication skills in Basic English.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
- Good logic and reasoning ability.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
- Occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and lift/move up to 30 pounds.
- Must be free of any health conditions that prohibit tasks requiring heavy lifting, pulling, bending, or prolonged standing.
- May work in hot and humid locations, near moving mechanical parts, at high places, or with explosive gas, toxic and caustic chemicals.
- Must be willing to work “off” hours, as required.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
