About the Role

The Registered Nurse at Madison plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to patients across various medical settings. This position focuses on providing direct patient care, ensuring that each individual receives personalized and effective treatment plans tailored to their unique health needs. The nurse will be responsible for educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care to promote long-term wellness.

Additionally, the role involves specialized skills such as wound care management and telemetry monitoring to support patients with acute and chronic conditions. Ultimately, the Registered Nurse serves as a patient advocate, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care within the healthcare facility.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • 2 years clinical experience in a hospital, healthcare, or behavioral health-related setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in direct patient care and nursing practices.
  • If recovering, two (2) years of continuous verifiable sobriety.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Monitor patients using telemetry equipment to detect cardiac and other physiological changes requiring intervention.
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and needs, ensuring ethical and compassionate care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized care plans.
  • Deliver nursing care in medical, surgical, and pediatric settings, adapting to specific requirements.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Maintain an environment conducive to well-being, safety, and provide health teaching and counseling to patients and staff.
  • Perform waived testing.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance; be coherent, articulate, alert, oriented, and responsive.
  • Work cooperatively with co-workers, managers, clients, and prospective clients.
  • Be able to work in a constant state of alertness to perform the job safely.
  • Other duties as assigned.
