Job Overview
This is a temporary experienced RN assignment
. The RN’s role is to identify patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
Duration: 13 weeks (renewable once for a total of 26 weeks/year)
Type:
Temp with Full Time hours (PRN Status)
Shifts:
Night shifts, Minimum of 48 hours per week for 13 weeks / rotating weekends;
Eligible for overtime. Not eligible for lump sum extra shift incentives, eligible for shift differentials.
Limited benefit plan (High Deductible Health Plan ONLY, no disability/life insurance, ETO accrual or 401(k) matching).
EligibilityInternal candidates are not eligible to apply.
Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
Current HH Health System affiliates employees including Madison Hospital are ineligible to apply.
Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 2 years experience in Critical Care and/or Emergency Care strongly preferred, with flexibility to work in Med‑Surg Units. For internal candidates, minimum of 1 year of service in current position.
Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. ACLS required if applicable to specific unit.
