Overview

The Outside Sales Representative (“OSR”) will regularly sell products and services offered by 84 Lumber to current and new clients away from 84 Lumber stores and other locations. This role involves maintaining positive customer relationships, identifying new potential customers, and achieving sales goals at acceptable margins.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.

Communicate with customers and leads to understand their needs; suggest suitable products and services.

Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services based on customer needs.

Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve post-sale issues.

Maintain communication with existing and previous customers about new products and services.

Keep detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, and relationship issues.

Provide periodic territory sales forecasts.

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Strong sales and negotiation skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work well in a high-paced and stressful environment.

Ability to read prints and create material estimates.

Sourcing of special orders.
