Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer – Telecom Access Control in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will help to deter security‑related incidents by monitoring access points, checking badges, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Your presence and attention to detail will help to maintain a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service and communication.

Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour
Job Schedule- Tue 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Fri 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Sun 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
- Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification and/or credentials according to site‑specific policies.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
- Carry out security‑related procedures and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the location.
- Communicate clearly with team members, site management, and emergency personnel as needed.
- Document observations, incidents, and activities according to company and site requirements.
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
- A valid guard card or license is preferred, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
