As a Security Officer – Media Access Control in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech-driven environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence to all visitors and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility, and supporting loss prevention efforts, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Greet and screen individuals entering the location, verifying identification and credentials as required by site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures and protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity through observation and adherence to procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, adapting to the unique environment of a technology‑focused location.
• Document and report security‑related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Collaborate with on‑site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security‑related concerns or incidents.

• Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available

• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Possession of a valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
