Job Opportunities

The Town of Madison is accepting applications for the position of Facilities Coordinator in the Facilities Department. This is a full time, benefited position. Application forms may be submitted from the Town’s website isonct.org or brought to the Human Resources Department. Position posted until filled.

Hours of Work: Mon – Thursday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and Friday 8:30am to 12:00pm

Salary Range: Grade 7, 35.5 hours per week $48,529 - $68,108/annual

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform

Essential Job Functions:

Associates degree and three (3) years of related administrative experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Strong working knowledge of accounting and/or finance especially excel. Reliability, dependability and working independently are a must for this position. A valid Driver’s License is required along with the successful completion of a background investigation and a drug screening.

Position

Purpose:

This purpose of this position is to efficiently plan and perform a diverse array of administrative tasks to effectively support the Madison Public Schools/Town of Madison’s facilities portfolio. Processes incoming departmental mail, provides guidance with regard to established regulations and policies, generally supports all department functions as needed. Creates and monitors requisitions/PO’s for departmental recurring services and as needed expenditures, assuring compliance with purchasing policy and advising managers of required alterations.

Processes invoices for payment, conducting necessary research to ensure proper coding and timely payment. Maintains a schedule of all recurring service/material contracts and advises/coordinates with staff to ensure procurement processes are conducted well in advance of expiration. Supports the development of departmental annual operating budget and projections. Performs other related functions as assigned or required.
