About the PositionThe Town of Madison is accepting applications for the position of Bus Driver for the Senior Center. This position is located in the Senior Services Department for the Town of Madison. Completed applications may be sent to the Human Resources Department. Applications may be obtained and submitted to the HR Department or through the website isonct.org . Position will remain open until filled.
MinimumTraining and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
Graduation from High School or GED equivalent with vocational/technical training in a related field and one (1) year of related experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Position requires possession of a Public Safety A license (CDL with passenger endorsement). Applicant must have a safe driving record and be able to pass a complete a complex background investigation including a drug screen.
The hired individual will participate in the DOT random drug screen process.
Bus Driver needed for the Senior Services Department. The qualified person needs to be a reliable and compassionate Bus Driver to support our Senior Services Transportation Program. The position is responsible for safely operating a bus or van to transport senior citizens to and from scheduled activities. To provide customer service to riders as needed including assisting passengers on and off the bus and securing wheelchairs.
The driver is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under their direction and control.
