Ivy Tech Madison is currently accepting applications for a Math adjunct faculty member. Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis.
Position Details:
This is an adjunct teaching position requiring face-to-face instruction on the Madison Ivy Tech campus. The faculty member will create a learning environment that helps students reach their goals, providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.
Major Responsibilities:
- Program Operation: Teach and facilitate student learning, provide syllabi, maintain attendance and grading records, and submit required information on time.
- Students: Be available outside scheduled class times for assistance, address student concerns, and consult with the program coordinator as needed.
- Instruction: Conduct scheduled classes, utilize technology such as Canvas and PowerPoint, and promote respect for diversity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of current technologies relevant to instruction.
- Faculty credentials as outlined in ASOM 7.1.
- Possess a master's or higher degree in mathematics from a regionally accredited institution, or a master's degree in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics courses.
