American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographic Technologist for an overnight sleep lab role requiring registration and at least one year of sleep medicine experience.
Requirements- BLS certification required
- Registration required: RPGST, RST, or SDS Certification (license required if applicable)
- ACLS preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a sleep medicine setting
- Knowledge of sleep apnea, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, and PSG monitoring equipment
- Familiarity with department and hospital-wide policies and procedures
- Sleep lab department within a hospital setting
- Night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 3 days per week
- Weekend shifts required per unit schedule
- Performs PSG and CPAP/BiPAP titration studies
- Perform routine and complex polysomnographic recordings and monitor patients throughout sleep studies
- Educate patients on sleep studies, sleep apnea, and CPAP titration prior to testing
- Connect and disconnect patients from electrodes and complete related documentation
- Administer CPAP/BiPAP therapy according to department protocols
- Work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong clinical judgment
