American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and Epic proficiency.
Requirements- Active RN license (Indiana or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Work in the PACU unit of a hospital setting
- 12-hour day shifts from 7a-730p
- 36 hours per week across 3 shifts
- On‑call required 5 days within an eight‑week schedule period
- Scheduled weekend coverage approximately every 10 weeks, Friday 5p through Monday 6a
- Uses Epic EMR
- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate responses to clinical interventions
- Provide patient and family education specific to care and discharge needs
- Mentor and precept staff while fostering teamwork and collaboration
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non‑licensed personnel as needed
- Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives within a Practice Governance model
