Salary$16.00/hr - $28.00/hr (actual rate based on experience)
Responsibilities- Assist or perform maintenance tasks under supervision of an experienced technician.
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- 18 years or older and High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Can lift up to 50 lbs., move up and down ladders, work at heights, operate in various temperatures, and sit or stand for long periods.
- Valid, state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
- Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
- HVAC/R Certificate of Completion through Live Better U and Penn Foster Career School.
- Mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field experience in commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
