Job SummaryReporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Community Engagement, the Coordinator of Student Affairs and Admissions performs significant administrative functions to accomplish recruiting and admissions objectives. The incumbent coordinates efforts in student affairs to meet the academic and organizational needs of students matriculated in the School of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. The Coordinator participates in evaluation of the credentials and learning potential of applicants seeking admissions, travel locally for college visits and recruitment initiatives;
student interviews; inquiry/prospect management; and correspondence. Responsibilities also include student services such as collection and organization of student records, monitoring academic progress, coordinating student services between the School of Pharmacy & Health Sciences and the University, and providing student financial aid information and review of qualifying forms for student aid.
- Master’s degree preferred;
Bachelor’s degree required in a related field. - A minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
- Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computerized data management, spreadsheet, and word processing systems; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required; familiarity with DATATEL a plus.
- Experience with social media such as Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Linked In, and an understanding of how they may be applied to marketing and student affairs initiatives.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours are required.
- Valid driver’s license, accessibility to transportation, and the ability to travel locally;
Must have an acceptable driving record in accordance with the University’s Motor Vehicle Policy. MVC check will be required at hire and thereafter as deemed appropriate. Candidates must sign a waiver authorizing the MVC check. - Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates must sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
