Base pay range$25.00/hr - $30.00/hr
We’re looking for an energetic, certified Water Aerobics Instructor to lead two fun, safe, and effective aquatic fitness classes each week. You’ll inspire members to move, improve their health, and enjoy the water—while living out the YMCA mission.
Tentative Schedule- Monday: 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM
- Wednesday: 10:30 AM - 12:15 PM
- Plan and lead water fitness classes that combine cardio, strength, and flexibility.
- Create a welcoming, upbeat environment where everyone feels included.
- Demonstrate proper technique, offer modifications, and ensure participant safety.
- Set up and break down pool equipment and keep accurate attendance.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, following CPR/AED and First Aid protocols.
- Build positive relationships with members and promote YMCA programs.
- Provide fresh class music at least every ten weeks.
- Promote and participate in YMCA special events.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings.
- Emphasize safety and fun, fostering strong connections with members.
- Arrange a qualified substitute when unable to teach a scheduled class.
- Nationally recognized Water Exercise Instructor certification.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for helping others.
