Base Pay Range:

$15.49/hr - $15.49/hr

The Madison Area YMCA is seeking an Assistant Gymnastics Instructor who will assist with instructing youth classes in a fun, safe and enjoyable environment that promotes sportsmanship in a positive environment. Additionally, the applicant will assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility as directed, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals. All classes are held in the gymnastics center, which includes a spring floor, Tumble Trak, pits, vaults, bars, beams, and much more!

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 4pm-5:30pm
• Saturday: 9:45am-11:15am

Qualifications:

• Required certifications: CPR and AED, will train.
• Obtain replacement when unable to teach.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
• Communicate to Supervisor any issues and concerns of staff or members and/or direct members to the appropriate supervisor(s) when needed.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position; including assisting class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
• Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency. Able to assist in administering first aid.
• Potential exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids is possible.
