Nurse Assistant in Hospital

Overview

Madison Regional Health System is seeking a full‑time Nurse Assistant to be part of our mission: providing quality healthcare close to home.

• Answer call lights promptly and provide timely patient care.
• Perform AM/PM personal hygiene care (baths, shampoo, oral, shaving, nail).
• Prepare patients for meals, assist with meals and record vital signs.
• Measure intake and output, ambulate patients and give backrub, reposition patients in and out of chairs.
• Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge; report changes in patient condition.
• Make frequent rounds, observe patients, and complete required documentation in EMR.

• CPR certification required.
• Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and great telephone etiquette.
• Computer knowledge and ability to multi‑task in pressure/stressful situations.

Clean, well‑lighted area with frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists. May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations. Exposure to infectious disease, body fluids, odors, and dust. Work with medical equipment such as Foley catheters, noninvasive B/P monitors, commodes, urinals, EZ lift, whirlpool lift, thermometers, room lifts, wheelchairs, beds, and scales.

• 12‑hour shifts, every 3rd weekend, day/night/holiday rotation.
