Responsibilities
Serve legal documents to individuals, businesses, and government agencies in accordance with state and local laws.
Accurately complete affidavits of service and other documentation required by courts.
Plan and execute service attempts, including locating individuals if necessary.
Maintain detailed records of service attempts, dates, times, and locations.
Communicate regularly with Blue Light Investigations team regarding service status and outcomes.
Ensure all interactions are professional, respectful, and in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Use technology (e.g., mobile apps, GPS, time-stamping) to log and report on service attempts.
Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Must be registered or certified as a process server in [Insert State/County, if applicable], or willing to obtain certification.
Previous experience as a process server or in a related legal services field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of civil procedure and process-serving laws.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and handle potentially sensitive or confrontational situations with professionalism.
Background in law enforcement, private investigations, or legal support.
Tech-savvy with ability to use service-tracking applications and reporting tools.
Strong commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail.
