Accounting Manager

SVA is expanding our Small Business Accounting team and seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support our growing client base—especially within healthcare (medical, dental, veterinary). If you have prior public accounting experience, healthcare prior experience is not required, we will train you to succeed in this industry group! This role is based out of our Madison, WI headquarters, with hybrid flexibility.

• Lead and manage client engagements from planning to completion.
• Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Oversee financial and tax reporting, advisory projects, and deliverables.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop staff; support recruiting and retention.
• Drive process improvements
  , project management, and workflow efficiencies.
• Support business development
  , cross-selling, and client retention initiatives.
• Contribute to internal training, knowledge sharing, and firm-wide growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• 5+ years of public accounting experience (required)
• CPA, EA, or equivalent certification (required)
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-service skills
• Experience with healthcare clients is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
