Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will support TSI’s financial reporting, analysis, and internal control functions. This position works closely with the Controller and management team to ensure accurate financial statements, efficient accounting processes, and compliance with GAAP and company policies. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong technical accounting skills, a high attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain and analyze the general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal procedures.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Partner with department leaders to provide financial insight that supports operational decision‑making.
• Support annual audit and tax preparation activities in coordination with external auditors.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and performance tracking.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage accounting activities specific to a distribution environment, including inventory valuation, vendor and customer rebate programs, and freight cost allocations.
• Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure financial accuracy across inventory, pricing, and rebate processes.
• Oversee and process bi‑weekly payroll through the company’s payroll provider, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of related tax filings and benefit deductions.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in distribution, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems. Experience with distribution‑focused ERP systems (e.g., Infor SX.e, Epicor, or similar) preferred.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
