Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for an Accountant (NFP), based in Madison, WI, with some work‑from‑home flexibility. The Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting, budget management, account reconciliation, and maintaining compliance with non‑profit regulations. Additional duties include preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with audits, and analyzing financial data to support organizational decision‑making.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Financial Reporting, Budget Management, and Account Reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of Non‑Profit Accounting Standards and Compliance Requirements
- Experience with Accounting Software and Spreadsheet Applications
- Excellent Analytical Skills and Attention to Detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a hybrid work environment
- Prior experience in non‑profit or community‑focused organizations is advantageous
