Are you seeking some practical, hands on experience to apply your accounting education in a CPA firm offering training through a paid internship? Our internship offers you experience in tax preparation as well as applying accounting theory during the firm’s traditional “busy season” of January through mid-April while also gaining valuable experience and school credit.
As a Tax Intern, you will prepare Federal and State individual tax returns and communicate/follow up with clients to obtain required information needed to prepare and document taxable income and deductible expenses. Our experienced staff will guide you along your learning journey.
Qualified candidates will have:- At least two years of Accounting course work
- Effective and thorough problem-solving skills
- Ability to think and work independently
- High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, error free work
- Proficient and accurate computer keyboarding skills
- Proficient using computer software, especially Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
