OverviewBaker Tilly’s Industry Applications team develops data‑driven technology solutions for clients. The team prioritizes creativity and a passion for delivering excellence. Working with us, you will ship often, take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, and be a leader in solving our clients’ problems.
Responsibilities- Develop full‑stack applications primarily with Python on the Anvil platform.
- Leverage AWS services (Sage Maker, etc.) to build, train, and deploy machine learning models for categorization and forecasting.
- Build state‑machine driven applications for business process management.
- Develop “Rules Engine” solutions for measuring and reporting compliance against legislation/regulations.
- Implement text and key‑term extraction from PDFs using NLP techniques.
- Apply integer linear programming for supply chain optimization modeling.
- Identify and develop service opportunities to support Baker Tilly’s manufacturing clients and community ad‑clients.
- Technical background with genuine interest in computer science and software development;
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Master’s in Data Science, or a strong portfolio of projects. - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Python or another high‑level language (Java, C#, etc.).
- Hands‑on maker mindset – love building, testing, and improving software.
- Focus on excellent user experience; ability to recognize and eliminate user pain points.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Prior experience with the Anvil framework.
- 5+ years of building industry solutions, ideally in low‑code or traditional full‑stack development.
- Background in back‑end Python frameworks (Django, Flask), .NET, or Node.js, and familiarity with version control (Git), database administration, and Dev Ops.
- Experience or certification with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
