Personal Financial Counselor – Truax Field, WI

Join us to apply for the Personal Financial Counselor role at Magellan Health. This position will provide personal financial services at assigned military installations.

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develop and make available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinate, publicize and provide a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops, e.g., topics across the military lifecycle.
• Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication as authorized.
• Manage duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing trends and issues.
• Participate in in-services/training, quality improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required (associate degree plus 4 years’ experience or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience may be considered).
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required.
• Must obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for OCI process.
• Must have one of the following certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC.
