Assistant Project Manager

Next Electric, LLC is seeking a full-time Electrical Assistant Project Manager in Madison, Wisconsin.

• Assists project managers ensuring continuity/efficiency of each project from start to finish
• Visits various construction sites and interacts with crew, customers, leaders, and general contractors to ensure jobs are running as expected
• Reviews estimates with estimators prior to submittal to customer to ensure accuracy
• Assists in managing productivity of craft workers and efficient use of materials/equipment, and overall contractual performance of projects
• Contacts vendors to obtain materials for projects
• Provides technical assistance, i.e. interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods, equipment, etc.
• Tracks and reports project status updates to project managers
• Promotes a safe working environment for all work activities

• 1 or more years' experience in construction/electrical project management support
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Business preferred
• Accubid experience preferred
• Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC)
• Proficiency in use of PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
• Strong mathematical skills
• Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug‑test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
