Superintendent, Construction

Iconica is seeking a Superintendent to join our team!

As Superintendent, you will provide overall leadership to the onsite construction team, ensuring high-quality project delivery that meets schedule, budget, and design goals. This role involves projects of varying size and complexity.

• Plan, monitor, and track critical path dates and milestone schedules
• Lead weekly foreman meetings and develop agendas
• Define and review expectations for subcontractors, including day-to-day scheduling
• Supervise Iconica’s carpenters and laborers as needed
• Work with the field team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
• Collaborate with surveyors and foremen to establish benchmarks, shoot grades, and verify dimensional control
• Document daily project events with logs, photographs, and as-built drawings
• Ensure all team members and subcontractors work safely and in compliance with regulations
• Conduct weekly safety inspections and document findings
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors
• Perform carpentry/general work as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (equivalent experience of four years may be considered in lieu of a degree)
• Minimum of five years of direct commercial construction experience in a superintendent role
• Experience leading both ground-up construction and complex renovation projects, including work in occupied spaces
• Experience with design-build projects (preferred)
• Extensive knowledge of construction and carpentry equipment and tools, including power tools
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and review plans, shop drawings, and specifications
• Solid understanding of jobsite safety procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with Procore is a plus
• Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Excellent analytical and negotiation abilities
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High initiative and eagerness to learn
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
