Copywriter

image.works, a fast-growing marketing firm on Madison’s west side, seeks a full-time copywriter to join our team of writers. This position requires writing copy for direct mail, emails, newsletters, blogs, animations, digital campaigns and a wide variety of other marketing materials for our clients, mainly in the financial, healthcare and education industries. We’re especially interested in writers who have experience with search engine advertising, SEO and social media posts.

Candidates must be fast, accurate and creative with excellent writing abilities, a keen eye for editing and strong communication skills.

• Communicate with clients, understand their needs and familiarize yourself with their products and audience
• Develop fresh, innovative, compelling concepts, often in partnership with designers
• Write clear, persuasive, original copy and modify it until clients are satisfied
• Meticulously proofread materials to check spelling, grammar and punctuation

• Bachelor’s degree required (preferred majors include English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising/Public Relations, Marketing or a related discipline) – recent college graduates are encouraged to apply
• Up to 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Digital and social media marketing experience
