Our Madison office is looking for dedicated candidates to join our family as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant. We provide on-the-job training, so certification is not required to be hired as an Ortho DA.

The Ortho Assistant performs many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills. The role is vital in assisting the dentist in providing dental care to patients and promoting Familia Dental’s culture, mission, and values.
Responsibilities- Maintaining accurate records of patients' oral health histories and treatment progress.
- Ensuring that all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use.
- Keeping patients’ mouths dry during orthodontic procedures by using a suction hose as needed.
- Taking intraoral X-rays of patients’ mouths.
- Taking photographs of patients’ teeth to aid the Orthodontist in developing treatment plans and to document patient progress.
- Taking dental molds of patients’ teeth for the fabrication of customized mouth guards and retainers.
- Removing and replacing wires, coil springs, donuts, and elastic bands.
- Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare.
- Other duties as assigned.

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM and Saturday, 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM.
- Full‑time employment.
- 4+ days per week, 30–40 hours per week.
- Available to work Saturdays, when needed.
- Full shifts (8–10 hours).
