Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and carry out patient care programs in the diagnosis and treatment of oculofacial and orbital conditions.
  • Provide patient care at the UW Health Clinics, University Station Eye Clinic, Middleton VA, Unity Point Health Meriter Hospital, and clinical outreach site(s).
  • Participate in University-sponsored HMO and Outreach programs.
  • Participate in fellow, resident, and medical student clinical education in clinic and in operating rooms.
  • Faculty are expected to teach medical students, residents, and fellows. All faculty participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

    School of Medicine and Public Health/Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences/Oculoplastics Service.

    Compensation:

    The starting salary for the position is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Eligible for Wisconsin Medical License by start date of position.
    • Board-certified or board eligible in Ophthalmology by start date of position.
    • Residency training in a U.S. Ophthalmology Accredited Program.
    • Two Year Fellowship training in Oculofacial Surgery is required.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • ASOPRS-approved program preferred for fellowship.
