Physician - MD/DO - Hospitalist
SSM Health Dean Medical Group is seeking a Hospitalist to join our skilled team at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI, with occasional shift support at SSM Health St. Mary's in Janesville, WI.
Key Responsibilities- Daytime Rounding
Shifts:
7:00 am – 4:00 pm (Monday‑Sunday) - Evening Admitting
Shifts:
8‑hour shifts with start times ranging from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm - Night
Shifts:
10:30 pm – 7:30 am - Patient Care:
Manage an average census of 14–15 patients, typically 1 admission per rounding shift - Shift Distribution:
Up to 50% of shifts will be nights; rounding shifts typically occur in blocks of 5‑7 days, with Monday as the switch day - ICU Coverage:
Madison – Closed ICU;
Janesville – 4‑bed open ICU with 24/7 eICU capabilities - Full‑time Position: 200 shifts annually
- Active, unrestricted WI medical license
- Active, unrestricted DEA
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Madison is a 440‑bed hospital that offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient treatment and diagnostic services. It is an American College of Surgeons‑verified Level II Trauma Center, a Joint Commission‑certified Thrombectomy‑Capable Stroke Center, and has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
