Job Description

SSM Health Dean Medical Group – Orthopedics – West Madison is actively recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedic Surgery Hand and Upper Extremity department. The department consists of 3 physicians and 3 APPs. Primary responsibilities will include outpatient clinic and surgical assisting.

• Weekly schedule will be four (4) days per week with variable hours; details to be determined based on department needs
• Call including weekdays and weekends rotated with orthopedic group, approx. 1:16
• Position is 75% clinic-based with about 25% of OR responsibilities
• Opportunity to work independently alongside the Hand Surgeons
• Potential for some outreach days
• Hospital privileges at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Madison

• Master's degree in physician assistant with PA-C
• Experience required in Orthopedic Surgery post education or Orthopedic Surgery clinical rotations in orthopedic surgery considered
• Prefer first-assist OR experience
• Wisconsin PA license and Wisconsin DEA
