After School STEAM Coach at Engineering for Kids - Phoenix Metro
OverviewEngineering For Kids of Madison is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic part‑time STEAM Coach to join our organization to support our STEM Club program for ages 5–12, Monday to Friday from 2:30–5:30 pm this coming academic school year.
This is a fun and rewarding job that is a great fit for college students, professionals (engineers, teachers, digital artists) who want a fun supplemental experience, and retirees seeking a rewarding part‑time job. - Ability to present oneself and one's ideas with clarity, confidence, and poise
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Proven leadership skills
- Presentation and speaking skills
- Passion working with children
- Energetic
- Have experience and enjoy working with children ages 5–12
- Reliable transportation to travel throughout Dane County (assignments less than 20 miles from residence)
- Availability between 2:30–5:00 pm about 2–3 days a week
- Have great organizational skills and be able to work independently
- Enjoy technology, math, and science concepts
- Experience presenting to a group, facilitation or training would be a plus
- Prior experience as an educator or pursuing a degree in the education or engineering field is also a plus
- Pass a background check
Engineering For Kids is a STEM‑based program to provide hands‑on, project‑based learning programs for children from Pre‑K4 to 8th grade. We are passionate about our programs because we believe that early exposure to STEM education has a lasting impact on a child's future.

- Are designed to offer an exciting, hands‑on experience with STEM related projects.
- Are designed by teachers to meet and exceed specific national standards in S.T.E.M.:
Science (NSES), Technology & Engineering (ITEEA), and Mathematics (NCTM) - Provide the most comprehensive Engineering Programs (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Marine, Robotics, Coding, etc)
Compensation: $30.00 per hour
