The Madison Metropolitan School District is the second largest school district in Wisconsin. The district serves a beautifully diverse population of more than 25,000 students. Purpose Of Position

Physical Therapists are an integral part of a team of educators, family, and others that supports students with disabilities. The primary role of the Physical Therapist is to provide direct services to students and consultative services to staff on behalf of students in order for them to access educational environments and their special education program.

Supervisory Responsibilities

May supervise the clinical practice of Certified Physical Therapy Assistants per Chapter PI 11 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assess the functional skills and abilities of students who have or are suspected of having a disability and who may require the specialized services of a Physical Therapist to benefit from special education in accordance with professional guidelines.
