Job DescriptionAt Learn Well, we are committed to changing the lives of the 10 million students in the U.S. who are dealing with behavioral health issues. For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom.
Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative special education teacher to join our team in Madison, WI on a full-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast‑paced behavioral health facility providing academic support for 12‑18‑year‑old patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school‑age patients at any one time.
Position entails a 40‑hour a week commitment, Monday‑Friday 7:30‑4 pm or 8‑4:30 pm (depending on candidate preference). Qualifications- B.A / B.S. degree from an accredited institution
- Wisconsin Special Education teaching license (required)
- Comfortable working with K‑12 students
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
- Reliable transportation
