Job Duties Responsibilities
- Prepare for class each week by reviewing, learning, and practicing pre‑prepared lesson plans,малар classroom activities, facilitation guides and course readings ahead of class time. Preparation should be conducted in collaboration with the teaching cluster (Staff Instructor and possibly,:'# co‑facilitator), and the team is expected to have an ongoing weekly meeting to allow for discussion and planning for the upcoming class.
- Enthusiastically lead two class periods per week for 20 – 30 students. Review readings and assignments, facilitate and encourage in‑class discussions, answer students’ questions, and introduce new content. Must be willing and able to reflect on how class periods are going and adjust teaching and facilitation style to best serve the students in the class and try new strategies to encourage engagement and inclusion.
- Attend weekly staff meetings. Facilitators have typically met late Thursday afternoons or Friday mornings and must be free at this time for fall semester (no exceptions). More information provided once schedules are set.
- Actively work to create an inclusive learning environment, including personal reflection about their own identities and potential biases.
- Assist in the grading of homework assignments, quizzes, and final projects.
